why dark oil?

I am not sure what the difference is between the dark oil and the other hair care oils I have come across. I didn't notice anything different in this product than in other oils I have tried. the packaging was interested and it made me was to rip that little tab and open it up. I think otherwise I would have mistaken it as a perfume sample. Might be something to think about.
